What is Single Origin Chocolate?

Traditionally, chocolate is being produced with a blend of cocoa beans from different origins.

A “Single Origin” chocolate is produced from only one type of cocoa bean. As for wines produced with only one type of grapes, each single origin chocolate has its own very specific taste created by the soil and the climate where the bean has grown.

Simone Marie currently proposes “Single Origin” chocolate tablets produced in Belgium with cocoa beans originated from Sao Thome(Africa): a superb dark chocolate with 70% cocoa content.
